55th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade

The 55th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade is one of four brigades in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard’s 28th Infantry Division. It is headquarterd in Scranton, Pa., and has units located across Pennsylvania. The brigade traces its lineage to July 1898 when Company K, 11th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment was organized in Scranton. Eventually, it became known as the 55th Brigade Combat Team, before being redesignated the 55th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade in 2016. Today, the 55th MEB is authorized over 2,100 Soldiers, and its units include:
- 1-109th Field Artillery
- 165th Military Police Battalion
- 337th Engineer Battalion
