RESILIENCE, RISK REDUCTION, & SUICIDE PREVENTION (R3SP) BRANCH

The R3SP Branch develops policy, conducts training and provides education on building resilience, mitigating stress and suicide prevention for the Service and Family members of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. The branch consists of the Suicide Prevention, Resilience and Behavioral Health sections.

SUICIDE PREVENTION

The Suicide Prevention Program gives Soldiers the necessary skills to identify signs, symptoms, risk factors of suicide and the ability to successfully intervene. The program encourages Soldiers to be proactive in seeking assistance and strives to eliminate the stigma associated with behavioral health.

RESILIENCE

The Resilience Program gives Soldiers and Families the training and skills to think, live and communicate more positively. The training focuses on 7 core competencies: Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, Optimism, Mental Agility, Strengths of Character and Connection.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

The Behavioral Health Section provides evaluations/services from a licensed clinical social worker. All services are free of charge and are 100% confidential, except in situations of "duty to warn." Support is available 24/7. All Service members and their Family members are eligible for services to include psychological evaluations, referral, case management, and critical incident management.
