SUPPORT BRANCH
The Support Branch consists of DEERS/RAPIDS, Transition Assistance Advisors (TAA), Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) and TRICARE sections. The Branch educates Service and Family members along with Veterans on services and benefits available to them during every phase of their career or deployment cycle. The Branch also provides support for the Families of fallen Service Members ensuring they receive any assistance or support that they may need.
TRANSITION ASSISTANCE ADVISORS
The Transition Assistance Advisor section serves as the statewide resource to educate / counsel Veterans, Service Members, and their Families navigate, understand, and successfully obtain the myriad of benefits, entitlements, and services from the Federal, State and Community levels during the Deployment Cycle and after Military Service.
SURVIVOR OUTREACH SERVICES
Survivor Outreach Services is available to all Family members whose Service member died while serving in the military. SOS Coordinators are the survivor's link to the military and provide perpetual long term support to Survivors by outreaching and educating to include newsletter, letters, e-mails, phone calls and visits. The SOS Coordinator will provide perpetual care to the survivors "as long as they desire".
TRICARE
The TRICARE Section educates PA Army/Air Guard Units, Commands, and Family Readiness Groups on their TRICARE benefits. The section assists Service Members, Retirees and their Families with TRICARE enrollments, general knowledge, and billing issues.
