2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team

The 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, the “Wilderness Brigade,” is one of four brigades in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard’s 28th Infantry Division. It is headquartered in Washington, Pa., and has units throughout western Pennsylvania as well as Maryland. The brigade traces its lineage to a company called the Washington Guards that was established in July 1872. Today, the brigade is authorized over 3,400 Soldiers and is comprised of six battalion-sized elements:
- 1-104th Cavalry
- 1-109th Infantry
- 1-110th Infantry
- 1-107th Field Artillery
- 128th Brigade Support Battalion
- 876th Brigade Engineer Battalion
