Command Sgt. Maj. Jon B. Worley currently serves as the senior enlisted adviser to Pennsylvania’s adjutant general at the Pennsylvania National Guard Joint Force Headquarters at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa. He advises the adjutant general and subordinates on all enlisted matters within the Pennsylvania National Guard and ensures that all levels of command are responsive to the needs, concerns and welfare of enlisted Soldiers and Airmen.
CSM Worley began his military career in 1985 in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., with the 319th Military Intelligence Battalion (Airborne). After exiting active duty, CSM Worley joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in 1989 as an intelligence analyst with the 28th Division Support Command. He served in numerous positions within HHC, 28th DISCOM, including intelligence NCO, NBC staff NCO, subsistence NCO and platoon sergeant. In 2004 he mobilized to the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with HHD, 728th Support Battalion from Lock Haven, Pa. During the deployment, he acted as the NCOIC of the Joint Logistics Support Center for SOCOM helping streamline the property accountability process that accounted for over $2.6 million in government purchases and managed a mission critical fleet of non-tactical indigenous vehicles, which were driven over 90,000 kilometers without loss or injury. Upon his return in 2005, CSM Worley assumed the position of first sergeant of HHC 28th DISCOM. In 2006, during reorganization he was reassigned as the first sergeant of HHC, 28th Division Special Troops Battalion in Harrisburg, Pa. In September 2010, CSM Worley was promoted and assigned as the command sergeant major of the 628th Aviation Support Battalion until 1 August 2016. CSM Worley’s next assignment was as the command sergeant major of 2-104th General Support Aviation Battalion. On 1 July 2017, CSM Worley took over as the 55th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade command sergeant major. He also served simultaneously as the command sergeant major of FEMA Region III Homeland Response Force and Pennsylvania National Guard Task Force North. He assumed duties as the Pennsylvania Joint Force Headquarters, Command Sergeant Major - Army on 30 Sep 2019. CSM Worley was selected to be the ninth senior enlisted advister for Pennsylvania National Guard on 15 Nov 2020. His primary focus while serving in this position is to ensure all Soldiers and Airmen of the Pennsylvania National Guard are informed of the standards and policies of the Pennsylvania National Guard and to ensure that the Joint Force Headquarters is responsive to the needs and concerns of Soldiers and Airmen as well as their families and employers.
CSM Worley’s military education includes Intelligence Analyst Course, Basic Airborne Course, Unit Armorer Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic NCO Course, Chemical Operations Specialist Course, Advanced NCO Course, Automated Logistical Specialist Course, Support Operations Course, First Sergeants Course, and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy.

CSM Worley retired in December of 2020 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Police Chief at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa.
CSM Worley graduated from Red Land High School in 1985. He has a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College of New York with dual areas of focus in Business Management and Criminal Justice.
