Public Affairs Office
The Public Affairs Office (PAO) is responsible for media relations, community relations and internal and external communications for the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), the Pennsylvania National Guard (PNG) and Fort Indiantown Gap (FTIG). This includes responding to inquiries from the media and managing the DMVA, PNG and FTIG websites and social media accounts.
The office includes both civilian DMVA public affairs staff (for liaison with the Governor’s Office) and uniformed and civilian PNG public affairs staff (for liaison with Department of Defense agencies). Together, they work to maximize opportunities for “telling our story," while responding to public questions and concerns that may arise.
