Pa. Guard members receive medical training at Fort Indiantown Gap

Pennsylvania National Guard members who were activated for COVID-19 support missions undergo medical training April 24,2020, at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa.  The traditional Combat Lifesaver Course was conducted to standard while adding medical tasks that could be utilized in response COVID-19.

HARRISBURG, Pa. - On April 9, soldiers of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, 213 Regional Support Group, 228th Transportation Battalion, 131st Transportation Company assist with loading and transporting boxes of self-stable meals throughout the commonwealth. These meals, as many as 25,000 a day, will resupply county emergency management agencies, senior citizen centers, food banks and other charitable organizations.

Pennsylvania National Guard members from 1/104th Cavalry -- part of Pennsylvania Task Force South -- load a LMTV with special needs cots at the Norristown State Hospital facility on Friday, April 3. Soldiers from the 1/104th Cavalry delivered 125 special needs cots to the Federal Emergency Management Agency field hospital located at Temple University's Liacouras Center in north Philadelphia.  The facility will be used as a potential surge hospital for patient care in the event that city hospitals are overwhelmed treating patients amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
