1-104th Cavalry Soldiers conduct rappel training at Boxcar Rocks

Approximately 25 Soldiers with 1st Squadron, 104th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat team, 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, conducted rappel training June 13 at a rock formation near Fort Indiantown Gap known as Boxcar Rocks. The Soldiers used mountain warfare skills to ascend the north face of the Boxcar Rocks safely with harnesses and ropes, then rappelled down the south face approximately 100 feet. Three Pa. Air wings combine to ship Airmen to Hawaii for exercise

Members of the 111th Attack Wing, Headquartered at Biddle Air National Guard Base in Horsham Pennsylvania, unload their gear from a KC-135 Stratotanker that was after landing in Hawaii for a two-week training exercise known as Koa Lani that began on June 9, 2023. The 171st Air Refueling Wing and the 193rd Special Operations Wing joined forces to airlift 39 members of the 111th ATKW with the 171st providing a KC-aircraft and aircrew, and the 193rd Special Operations Wing providing the airfield and personnel required to load the aircraft, which took off for Hawaii from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
